Signature Affidavit/Oath/Acknowledgement:
According to the National Notary Association, the signature Affidavit/Oath or Acknowledgement are commonly notarized documents that
certify a signature is true.
A valid ID is required and your identity, name, address, expiration of ID, sometimes fingerprint and signature are recorded in a Notarial Journal for the
State of Oregon.
For an Oath or Affidavit, you will swear to the truth of the written document.
An acknowledgement is simply the verification of your identity and signature.
What Documents Need to Be Notarized When Applying for a Mortgage Loan?
Trust your mortgage signing to a Notary who was a direct mortgage lender and underwriter for 25 years.
One of the first tasks of becoming a homeowner is to sign a large pile of paperwork to seal the deal. The Commissioned Notary Public -- or Notary -- is a neutral third-party who verifies that you are who you say you are and that your signature is authentic on the paperwork in the loan package. The Notary verifies that the package is completely filled out. After you sign, the notary also signs, dates & stamps the document with a special Oregon Secretary of State stamp.
